Second-story loft in a unique modern home bordering a small lake, visited by geese, deer and heron. It’s a quiet neighborhood in Hickory Grove, great for running, walking or biking, and a block away from neighborhood park with walking trails and picnic tables. Home is 16 mins. from uptown; 13 mins. from NoDa; 10 mins. from UNCC; 10 mins. from Eastway Rec Center (indoor pool, gym).

A bedroom, bathroom, and balcony area make up the loft, a small and simple yet creative space featuring a full bed (double bed) and walk-in closet. Balcony overlooks living room and huge window view of lake. (NOTE: Loft doesn’t allow much sound privacy as walls don’t reach the ceiling). Guests share the downstairs kitchen, dining room and living room. Small fee for utilities.

I’m specifically looking for a reliable, trustworthy housemate who I’ll be very compatible with, so I will be very selective. My motivation is as much about having positive-energy, friendly company in the home as it is about having extra income. I’m in no hurry and can wait for the right person. Candidates would be educated and independent, with positive energy and rich life experience, and ideally, someone who’ll be mostly away during the daytime. I prefer a female housemate but will consider males. Preferred age range is between 27 to 60.
