About the room

CURRENTLY STILL UPDATING LIVING ROOM & DINING ROOM PICTURES, WHICH ARE NOW FURNISHED. BALCONY & BUILDING WAS COMPLETELY RE-DONE AND IS NEW!

– AMENITIES – The unit as a whole is over 1,000 square feet in size with a lovely open floor-plan. The apartment features an in-unit washer and dryer, a dishwasher, a fenced balcony, a traditional wood fireplace, bike/outdoor storage, and a heating unit located in each room. All areas of the apartment are furnished with the exception for your room. In the kitchen there are two microwaves, a blender, a coffee machine, and a hand mixer which are all available for use.

– ROOM & BOARD DETAILS – You will have your own bedroom with a walk-in closet in addition to a private bathroom all to yourself. Your bedroom window opens up to a small balcony area, which is a unique feature to this room. Your bathroom has a shower/bath with a grab bar, and there is even a heating bulb in addition to the regular lighting in your bathroom. Should you own a vehicle, you have first-come-first-serve free parking in addition to three different pay-for-parking options to choose from: A standard reserved spot, a reserved spot with overhead unit, and a private garage.

– COMPLEX INFORMATION – The unit is located on the second floor, and the building itself is conveniently situated by the main entrance in addition to being situated a few hundred feet away from the mailboxes and gym & pool (which are open at 5:00 AM until 10:00 PM). As our building is right up against Goldsmith Park, the view from our apartment is the forest and park and our balcony overlooks lush, green nature instead of your typical view of concrete. Best of all, it is quiet. Being against this park also means there are several walking trails available for your use any time in addition to a playground, a basketball court, and a few lush fields perfect for a picnic or BBQ. It is also extremely safe, being a family-friendly complex with many working professionals and growing families. There is private security typically half of the week. Anecdotally, and I consistently walk around at night around the apartment campus and park and it’s very safe.

– LOCATION INFORMATION – This apartment is all about location as well! It is less than 10 minutes from both downtown Redmond and downtown Bellevue, it’s just down the street from a highway entrance, and it’s right across the street from Microsoft. Bellevue College is a short drive down the road. For anyone commuting into Seattle for work or school, it is also within reasonable commuting distance to Capitol Hill/Downtown Seattle, University of Washington, Seattle University, Seattle Central, etc.

– RENT & UTILITIES – Rent is split almost equally, with the exception for me paying $50 more each month for pet rent. Apartment-billed utilities, electricity, and internet are split down the middle each month. • Your rent will be a flat rate of $1,200 due at the start of the month alongside utilities, which is also billed through the apartment. • Utilities includes water, trash, sewer, costs and stormwater fees. You will typically pay between $80 - $95 per month on utilities based on use. For rent and apartment-billed utilities, plan to spend up to $1,300 each month. • Electricity is billed through Puget Sound Energy mid-month, typically between the 11th and 14th of each month. You will typically pay between $30 - $45 per month on electricity based on use. Nearly 100% of the light fixtures in the apartment run LED lights, so electricity costs have the potential to run much lower each month especially with minimal use. • Internet in billed through Xfinity end-of-month. You will typically pay $20 - $22 each month for 8000 mps high-speed internet. You can also make a profile on my Hulu and HBO Max, because that sh*t is way too expensive for just me to be using it, please use my Hulu! Overall, you can expect your living costs to total to an estimate of $1,370. I have auto-enroll for most of these bills and each month would typically send you the bill, the payment receipt, and a request for your half on Venmo. At the end of the month, I’ll email you a balanced statement for your totaled living costs that you paid out that month. However, I am flexible and want to work with what best suits you, so I am happy to accept cash and cheque payments. You are also welcome to submit these payments yourself manually each month off you want to do that as well. Let’s talk about it!

About the roomies

– ABOUT ME – I am a 22 year old woman. I am currently working two jobs - one full-time in-person position, and one part-time fully remote position. I graduated this last spring from Seattle University with two bachelor’s degrees and I am now completing my master’s degree online through Michigan State University in a computer science adjacent field. I am clean and like to keep things tidy. My dog does shed, so I vacuum frequently. On my days off, I like to do full house cleans. I don’t run the laundry machine after 10:00 PM. I wake up early in the mornings (5:30 AM - 7:00 AM) and go to sleep late at nights (12:00 AM - 2:00 AM) but I mostly keep to myself in my room and I am quiet. I typically stay home on the weekends but in my own space because I am quite busy.

– ABOUT THE DOG – Her name is Ukiah, but she goes by Kaia. She is 7.5 years old. She is a Husky/Australian Cattle Dog mix. She has a big heart and loves people. She does have a loud bark, but don’t let that put you off, as she will love to have someone else around the house. She hasn’t had much socialization with dogs and is a bit anxious around them, so at this time I would not consider another adding another pet. If you love dogs, you will love Kaia.

– WHO ARE YOU? – Ideally, you are able to provide a background check, proof of credit and renter’s history, and $270 to cover half of the initial move-in deposit which you will get this back at the end of the lease term or whenever you move out.

– ADDITIONAL INFORMATION – Should you want to be added to the lease officially, I am happy discuss our next steps. When you move in, I will give you a set of keys for the apartment unit. A FOB for access to the gym, pool, and package room can be requested from the leasing office. I will give you the login information for our leasing portal should you need to send the office an email or put in a maintenance request.
