About the room
I live in a two and a half bedroom home ($720/mo + utilities (~$120/mo ea.) on the Boise Bench and looking for a roommate to join me must be vaccinated. The lease goes through August so I am looking for either a roommate to sublease the second room from June-August or someone whoβd like to stay longer term.
The house has two bedrooms and a third small room that is set up as an office/storage/cat room. It has laundry on site and central heating and a/c. There is one shared bathroom. It has a small yard in the back with some raised garden beds that need a little love and a storage shed. The landlords are a great couple who are super responsive to requests. I have a cat (Miso) who is a very friendly boy and likes to talk a lot. The landlords are not interested in additional pets sorry. See photos for more details.
[What I am looking for:] I am looking for a like-minded roomie to share a space with. I am looking to live with a woman or gay man who is around the same age/life place ideally. LGBTQ+ friendly. I like to keep common areas clean and relatively tidy and I would hope my roommate does too :) (i.e., dishes in the sink for a week are no bueno, but overnight is fine). Itβs also nice to keep things quiet when others are sleeping and generally be respectful and communicative about stuff.
*Must show proof of employment
About the roomies
I am a 33 year old female and finished my PhD in geology at BSU in May of 2021. Now I work as a research scientist in the geoscience department. I am originally from Seattle, but have lived in lots of places (Bellingham, Mazama, San Francisco, Boulder, Missoula, now Boise).
General interests of mine include: cooking, climbing, hiking, reading books, home decor/design, thrifting, doing crafts (sewing & beading) and spending time with friends. I donβt smoke, but do enjoy evening beers with friends occasionally.
My schedule: I work M-F roughly 8:30-5. I may work from home one or two days a week, but head into the office most days. I spend some weekends in town, but also like to get out to the woods or other fun places.
If this sounds like it could be a good fit, please reach out with some information about you, why you might want to live here, and some of your values, interests, and expectations for a living space. Thanks!
