J's room

Introverted disabled stoner looking for one chill LGTBQIA-friendly person to fill a bedroom in a 3-bedroom apartment. Rent is $700 a month with a $700 deposit that is refundable upon moving out. Utilities are $30 each per month. This is a compact, cozy lil’ room that is also spacious enough to have some small furniture and plenty of decorations. Fully carpeted with ample closet space and a large window that lets in lots of sunlight and helps keep things cool in the summer. This apartment is in a vintage building and has gone through some changes over the years, from that of an irresponsible crash pad to what is now a very mellow place with no drama at all. You are expected to do the same by paying your share of rent/bills on time, never bringing the party home, and understanding that the house rules tend to be of a common-sense approach where you clean up after yourself, do not appropriate food or belongings that are not yours, and replace household items that you finish—i.e. condiments, toilet paper, dish soap, paper towels, etc. Pretty simple stuff that any mature adult can handle. No pets please—one of us is allergic to dogs and cats.

You will NOT enjoy living here if you are conservative, overly extroverted, immersed in drug/alcohol issues, loud and obnoxious, demanding of others, riding that SWERF ‘n’ TERF wave, a total cisbrodawg, etc. Your significant other does not live here, nor do professional couch-surfers or hangers-on. Be chill, live your life, do your thing. Pay your bills on time, follow the simple house rules, and everything is good. If these are things that you cannot do, then you will be told to leave. There is NO time or space for any of this behavior here.

J is the master tenant who spends most of their time doing their thing and recovering from work-related injuries. They watch movies and listen to music, but try to keep the volume down out of respect for everyone else here. Light tobacco smoker outdoors and slowly quitting the habit, 420-friendly inside their bedroom. Does not drink alcohol, does not tolerate drunken behavior or hard drug use at all. They are nonbinary (AMAB, they/them), pansexual, and sex/kink positive.

T is the other roommate who works a lot and also spends much of their at-home time in their room. They like to sing along to their music, but it is never loud enough to be a disturbance. Sober, nonsmoker, very polite. They are also nonbinary (AFAB, she/they), queer, and sex/kink positive as well.

We are both vaccinated and boosted and will continue to observe proper masking guidelines while screening potential roommates.
