Julia's room

I live in a spacious 3 bedroom apartment in Jersey City across the street from a beautiful park. The apartment is one of 2 units in a 2 family house. It is really spacious, and all of the common areas are furnished and comfortable.

While the apartment is 3 bedrooms, I would only like 1 additional roommate. Currently, I share the 3rd bedroom with my roommate and we use it as a home office/study area. I am willing to re-negotiate this, use the room for a different purpose, or relinquish it entirely if you work from home and want to pay more to use it exclusively as your home office.

There is a washer and dryer in the house (for use of our apartment only) and there is a dishwasher. 2 adorable cats also live in the apartment.

I am a 27 year old public school teacher looking to create a warm, safe, and caring home with my future roommate. I like to read, watch tv, knit and sew, cook, exercise in the park or at the gym, and spend time with friends. I really like my alone time, but it is also important to me that we can spend time together sometimes and share meals, tea, or a glass of wine.

I generally like to keep the apartment pretty quiet on weeknights since I wake up early in the morning for work. I also like to keep the apartment neat and tidy, for the most part. I’m not much of a partier, but I love to hang out and have friends over from time to time.

It’s important that my roommate is fully accepting of who I am and that I feel safe at home, and I will do the same for my future roommate. I am Palestinian and I am a lesbian, so it’s important that you are fully open and respectful towards those parts of my identity.
