Mary's room

I rent a 4 bedroom on Peoples Avenue in Troy NY. My brother was my roomate but he suddenly decided to move in with another family member shortly after moving here with me and I was left with his portion of the Bills. The room itself is fairly small and has no closet space, but there is an attic you may use to store some things. The bedroom for rent has a door that leads to the stairs so you can come and go discreetly if desired. It has a small backyard that I share with the downstairs neighbor but it is mostly used to let our dogs use the restroom. Apartment is on a bus line and is extremely close to RPI. There is no smoking in the apartment, but smoking outside is okay. I am hoping for a respectful, quiet, female roommate between 21-31 years old. No partying or loud noises permitted as per lease. This home will be shared with children, so you would need to be respectful and mindful of this and practice good judgement. The ideal roommate is someone who is friendly, quiet, and clean. I am not interested in renting to a party girl or anyone who plans on having a lot of guest traffic in the home. I’m okay with occasional guests who are respectful and mindful to household rules as this is a family dwelling, and I cannot have someone who frequently brings strange men/women in the house, as I am in a custody battle and that could be used against me. If you choose to have a late night “guest”, they may only access your bedroom through your private entrance to your room. They will NOT be permitted in the rest of the home. I am 420 friendly and am okay with the occasional drink, but please do not inquire if you have drug or alcohol dependency issues.

I am a mother of two and am currently fighting for custody of my children. Currently, the apartment is inhabited by myself, my labradoodle, and my two cats. My boyfriend is a co-tenant, but he usually only comes on weekends, and occasionally during the week. Eventually my children WILL be moving into the home as well, so you would need to be okay with pets and children. The downstairs neighbor and her husband arent very approachable and likes to complain, but I just ignore them. They have two dogs of their own and children but they are not very sociable so I just avoid them.
