Forsyth Street

What’s good! I’m seeking a roommate to move into this gorgeous, well-lit 2BR walkup in Chinatown on or around May 1. I’ve already signed the lease and done all the paperwork!

I picked this spot in large part because the building is on Forsyth St, right in front of a bustling and lively park with pickleball and basketball courts and a playground. There’s endless restaurants, cafes, street vendors, etc. right outside the door at all hours of the day, and there’s central transportation options as well - the Grand Street subway is less than a block away, and Bowery, Delancey, and East Broadway are all easily walkable.

The building itself is also nice - it’s just had the stairs redone and doesn’t smell. The unit itself is on the 6th floor and gets more sun than I’ve ever gotten in a walkup - big reason why I liked it. Appliances are new and there’s a dishwasher. Bathroom is small but functional.

Couple other things. First, I’ve been considering adopting a cat so I’d hope you’d be alright with that. Second, my girlfriend lives pretty close by, so she may visit now and then, but to be honest I spend more time at hers than vice versa so it won’t be too often.

Just me - it’s a 2BR so it’d be the two of us, and potentially a cat.

A little bit about me - I’m a 26 year-old lawyer working in Times Square. I’m a music (mostly hip hop / rock, but a bit of everything), basketball (there’s courts right outside) and board sports (mostly snowboarding) person. I’m decently extroverted and like to go out and meet people, but there are weeks at my job that sap me of the energy sometimes. I sleep pretty late, but I try not to be disruptive if I’m sharing a space with someone who doesn’t. 420 friendly but I don’t really smoke anymore.
