About the room

I live in a 2 bedroom apartment within Lions Creek! I am on an upper level, on the quieter end of the complex (side entrance). I have a nice balcony and the neighbors in the building keep to themselves.

I am offering a full spare bedroom (with a large closet) for rent. It was formerly a streaming space, but is now empty and ready to move in to!

TRANSPARENCY: I am looking for a roommate who has a stable job and can pay half rent & utilities on the 1st - 5th of each month, NO exceptions. I will want to meet somewhere public before any decisions are made to make sure we both feel comfortable. You will be added to the lease to move in and are expected to adhere to some basic boundaries (see below, please read these before expressing interest). I have created these boundaries not to be harsh, but so that you have a clear expectation of what living here means and so that we both remain comfortable.

BOUNDARIES:

  1. You will clean up after yourself.

I’m not your mom and I will not clean up after you. Do not leave stacks of dirty dishes in the sink, uneaten/rotting food around the apartment, stick hairs all through the shower without rinsing, or leave your trash/laundry on the floor. I like having the apartment clean consistently so it is easy to relax in when we get off work. Your room is your own space, but treat the shared living spaces with respect please.

  1. Handle your own groceries.

Do not eat things that you do not buy for yourself. Do not eat my groceries. If you want to cook something together, I am almost always down and willing to share ingredients! I love to cook, just don’t eat my food without asking.

  1. NO partners or “Tinder dates” are allowed in the apartment. This is a hard rule.

I do not want to hear you having sex when I’m trying to sleep for work (we will share a wall) OR have a bunch of Tinder/Bumble strangers coming in & out all the time.

This is purely to keep the apartment and the things I have furnished it with safe. Too many times people get taken advantage of because someone they are dating isn’t who they say they are. If you need a private night (or many!) with your partner, you do it at their place, not here. I have a stable significant other, but I also respect this rule so that you have the same security and peace of mind. The apartment is our space to routinely recover after work, have platonic fun together (when we both feel up to it) and to eat, bathe, and do self care individually without judgement.

  1. You will not provide the apartment key/mail key, or any copies of it, to ANYONE. No exceptions. We pay the bills, they do not.

  2. If you can’t afford half rent + utilities, you must let me know three weeks before rent and utilities are due.

This gives me time to cover your gap and for you to find a new living arrangement or break your lease. I WILL NOT pay your bills or your share of rent + utilities.

  1. Treat my items with respect and ask to use them if they are not in a shared living space (living room/kitchen/bathroom).

You are welcome to use things like the living room TV, the couch, the wireless speaker, the balcony, the dining room table, dishes & silverware, and any kitchen appliances. Anything in my room is off limits, and the same goes for you! Please just be gentle with my things, I worked hard for them.

  1. After 10pm = “quiet hours” on Weekdays Only.

This is the latest I go to bed with work and it is important to me. I can always adjust this time to be earlier if you work morning hours or just need the relaxation. Comfortable, relaxing rest is important to me and should always be available to you.

  1. If you have a pet, it is YOUR pet.

You are to pay for whatever food the pet needs, provide supplies, food, vet care, exercise, and pet rent (25$ a month). I love animals and will ALWAYS offer to help you, but ultimately that pet is your responsibility. If they get fleas, get sick, have an accident, I expect you to take care of them and the apartment.

About the roomies

About me:

*I am 26 and female!

*I’m a Professional Cleaner. I get paid weekly and work from 8AM to 5PM. I often pull OT.

*I have an education degree and played four years of university volleyball on scholarship.

*I am pretty shy and don’t make a lot of noise besides listening to music when I deep clean the entire apartment once a week. I have wireless earbuds if the noise bothers you!

*I stream and make art as a side hustle sometimes on the weekends.

*I have ADHD, but it is not something that is a focal point of my personality.

*I vape, (disposable Mr. Fogs) but I do NOT smoke cigarettes; I’m trying to quit all together. If you are not comfortable with being around the vapor, which is completely ok, you will never experience it! I will always step out.

*I am an ambivert who enjoys low key company.

*I love to draw, cook, craft, paint, read, and play video games in my time off! It’s awesome if we have similar interests, but I never expect you to interact with me.

*I have a FOB for the gym/steam room for Lions Creek. I love to work out! If you want to get in shape together, play tennis at the courts, go on a walk, etc, I’d love to!!
