About the room

Walk up the front steps of this lovely 1920’s bungalow and you’ll feel you’re back in time. Wood floors, fireplaces, and a vintage kitchen sink bring unique charm to this homey space. Two rooms are presently available. Rent them both and turn the second into a lovely office, art studio or yoga space. Or, rent one and share the third space with current tenant. Two bedrooms: Rent is $1, 400. One bedroom: $1,100.

Perks: The house is a hop, skip and jump from Greenway bike path and a safe fifteen minute walk to downtown on a quiet tree-filled neighborhood. There is a park across the street and two adorable goats down the street to greet you as you walk by! Enjoy shared use of the large dining room, living room with decorative fireplace, kitchen, bathroom and laundry room. There is also a front porch and a large backyard with fire pit and raised beds for gardening. I hope to find a cat-friendly housemate who will be up for co-creating a peaceful, uplifting home. The communal spaces are partially furnished, but there is room to add your own personal touches and furniture.

Financial Details: One year lease. Due upfront: First month’s rent of $1, 400 or $1,100, depending on how many rooms you rent, plus half the security deposit of $1, 100. There is some flexibility on move-in date and the rent can be pro-rated accordingly.

Pets: Cats permitted.

To apply, please email Kristin at K.dagostino (at gmail.com) and include a bit about your background, interests and what you do for work. There are many more photos available to see upon request. Thank you!

About the roomies

About Me: Forty-something writer/teacher who values alone time for reflection and creating. Freelance arts journalist and photographer who also works part-time as concierge at a Montford inn. Originally from New England, I recently moved to Asheville from Vermont. I enjoy cooking and having over small groups of friends for occasional brunch parties, though prefer to keep things quiet most evenings at home.

We will get along well if you enjoy any of the following: Making art, reading, travel, swing or contra dance, Italy or the Italian language, playing music/singing; Bluegrass music. It would be great if you were like-minded and up for sharing occasional conversation and tea or wine on the porch once in a while, but also understood the need for time alone.
