Are you a responsible woman (woman only for this rental) good at keeping things at home tidy and clean? Like cats? Would you like to have rent waived in exchange for 10 hours a week of basic housekeeping, cat box care for 2 cats, and miscellaneous small jobs or errands? Are you reliable, honest and responsible?

Lightly furnished (bed, desk, chair) private bedroom in a home, currently available to a reliable woman 20 or older.

Room normally rents for $500 per month but rent will be waived in exchange for 10 hrs/wk help around the house including kitty care (daily cat box cleaning for 2 cats), weekly laundry, weekly grocery shopping, and other occasional easy chores and errands as requested.

Great for mature woman student looking for quiet location convenient to UNC. Nice neighborhood, safe and great for walking.

WiFi and utilities included. On F bus line in Colony Woods neighborhood, easy commute to UNC. Your bedroom, bath, rec room and refrigerator (homeowner uses the upstairs refrigerator) are on lower floor. Choice of 2 bedrooms. Second one will stay empty.

Homeowner is UNC School of Medicine retiree, lives on upper floor where you’ll share kitchen, living room, dining room and large screened porch and deck.

Current roomer/helper is being transferred after three years of her quiet, considerate presence and wonderful help.

On street parking. Nonsmoking, social drinker okay, no overnight guests, no additional pets.

Background check and references required. We look forward to meeting you!

In our mother’s home. We live nearby and visit frequently, small grandchildren included at least weekly but they stay on the main level. Our mother appreciates a quiet, discrete person. She enjoys gardening, classical music, and enjoyed world travel when fitter.
