ONE ROOM AVAILABLE: AUG. 15, 2023 - 1.9 Mile from GMU -off UNIVERSITY DRIVE (7 min drive) - 5 min walk to CUE and Metro Buses     Female Christian ESL professor has 1 fully furnished bedroom with a shared bath/full kitchen/and utility room (washer/dryer) to rent in a private first floor apartment within my home. Women only. The rental fee includes utilities and Verizon FIOS high speed internet. Though this is a basement apartment, windows have been enlarged to meet ingress/egress codes, and lighting is good.     Lease follows the dates of GMU’s school term.

The room is available for the academic school year (Aug. 15, 2023-May 14, 2024), or for a one year lease (Aug ’23-Aug ’24). 

Room and house are neat and clean.

Ideal for female visiting scholar, graduate student, intern, mature/responsible undergraduate, or working adult.

     My college age daughter and I live on the main level with our small dog. The dog does not come downstairs. :-)

     Location: My home is right off University Drive in a safe and quiet, older neighborhood, 1.9 miles from GMU. It is a 5 minute walk to the Cue and Metro bus stop, and on street parking is easily available in front of the house. It is 5 miles to NOVA/NVCC Annandale Campus.

     Rent: $690 per month. The first month’s rent and a $690 security deposit, and a signed lease are required to secure the room. Rent includes reasonable utilities (water/electric/wi-fi/ac-heat/weekly garbage collection from outside cannisters).

     Because this is our home, and we are Christians who seek to honor the Lord, this is absolutely NOT a party house! NO alcohol, drugs, smoking, pornographic materials, or sleepover boyfriends/girlfriends allowed. If you’re looking for a safe and quiet home/study environment this will work for you.

PLEASE NOTE: Because the smell of tobacco is difficult and costly to remove from upholstery, mattresses, walls, etc., and because my daughter and I are both allergic and sensitive to smoke and its lingering smell, I do not accept smokers under any condition!
