About the house: • Three bedroom (plus an office space/guest room downstairs), 2 ½ bath home in SE Portland (near 72nd & Duke) with fenced back yard and covered patio. The bedrooms are upstairs and two of the rooms share a bathroom. The property is in a quiet neighborhood on a dead-end street, so no through-traffic… yay! There is a dishwasher, washer/dryer, and all of the other necessary amenities.

• Bills will be split evenly three ways, including the rent. The rent will be $933 for each of us and there is a one year lease. The house is owned by some friends of ours, so there is no rental management companies to deal with (hooray!).

• There are two sweet kitties, Loki and Odin. They are 3 & 4 y/o and are mostly indoor kitties, with some supervised outdoor time in the fenced back yard. Unfortunately, we cannot accommodate any more pets at this time. Please be willing to be respectful of the fact that these are indoor kitties and we will need to be mindful of not letting them out.

• The house has some (reasonable) storage space in the garage if you have extra stuff. There is a shed out back for bikes. The room is not furnished, but the rest of the house will be. There may be some space for furniture, if you have some things that you cannot part with… we are flexible and can try our best to accommodate.

• There are two tiny garden beds out back that are irrigated. These can be propagated with some cooking herbs or something like that. Whatever we want, really.

About us: • We are two women, late thirties and early forties, who have a professional focus. We have both lived in Portland for over 10 years. One of us is a nursing student, the other is a veterinarian. We are social, but not looking to party at the house. Please don’t plan on bringing the party home with you. We would like for our home to remain a place that we can all unwind and find some peace and quiet at the end of our day. That being said, the occasional dinner with friends is completely reasonable.

• We are generally very chill and are looking for someone that will fit the vibe. We like live music, festivals, barbeques, outdoor adventures, travel, etc. We like to have fun but have outgrown our wild party days. Keep it mellow and chill but enjoy life and you will fit right in with us!

About you: Most things have already been mentioned, but other important things; • The most important thing is to pay your bills & rent on time! Please… no one wants to deal with having to cover anyone else’s portion of the bills or rent. We honestly cannot afford to do that, so come into this situation being committed to carrying your own weight financially. This is huge.

• Please be clean and don’t leave a mess everywhere you go. We would prefer to live with someone that can respect the common spaces and clean up after themselves.

• We hope that you can make this your home as much as it ours! We are all moving in to this house at the same time, so you will get to establish this as your home at the same time that we do. We want this to truly be an equally-shared home and you should feel just as at home as we do!

• Again, please be mindful of the fact that we both have early mornings and have a lot going on. We should all be respectful of each other’s home space and try to keep it pretty mellow so everyone can unwind and study or do whatever it is that you do to chill. Don’t plan on this being a party house and everyone will be happy. 
