About the room

Hi! Please read the entire jawn. For rent is a bedroom in a newer (2011) 3 bed, 3 bath townhome right at the intersection of Fishtown, Norris Square, and E. Kensington. Over 1,400 square feet, with a nicely finished basement. Located on Coral St., between Franny Lou’s Porch and the Berks Septa Station.

The space is safe. It’s well-appointed. It has newer appliances, a fireplace, bamboo floors throughout, a wet bar, a projection screen, central air/heat, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and a lovely back patio. The neighbors are quiet, and everyone seems to look out for each other.

The room is available for one person. This isn’t intended for partners, kids, or shared custody situations.

If you’re into this sort of thing, the home was LEED Platinum Certified by the United States Green Building Counsel (USGBC) and was the GREEN home featured in 2011. It’s really energy efficient, but you don’t need to worry about that too much because the utilities are included! The laundry is on the same floor as the bedroom.

The rent is $950/month, which includes all utilities and cleaners who are here every 2 weeks.

So if you:

  • pay bills on time
  • demonstrate that with a good credit score
  • respect and support folks who are different from you
  • don’t smoke in the house

then please come visit and maybe be my roomie. I don’t care about leases. We’ll set one up for the protection of each of us, but I prefer to do month-to-month. There’s no reason for either of us to be stuck in something if it doesn’t feel good.

Please let me know if you have any questions. What I mean is, please have questions. I hope you appreciate that, if you have ZERO questions, and are only sending me some generic “is this still available” message, I may not waste my time responding to you. If this listing is still being shown, the room is still available.

About the roomies

I’m rarely home. I opened a business about a year ago, and I’m gone about 16 hours per day. I’m a foodie, so if I’m around I’m either making food, thinking about going out for food, or sleeping.
