About the room

No broker fee; more images available upon request! This naturally lit 144 sq.-foot room is part of a 3-bed 1 bath apartment, renovated just last year. We have new appliances (dishwasher included) in a gorgeous kitchen, a spacious and well-lit living room, and a prompt and attentive super who lives in the building. My roommate and I currently use the third bedroom as an office, which is perfect for anyone on a remote or hybrid work schedule. He is moving out on May 31, so his room will be available – he will more than likely be leaving a number of furniture items including his bedframe, mattress, AC unit, and a few other things, if you’d like them for a small extra fee. The surrounding area is convenient, safe, and cheap as far as NYC goes – we are a 1-minute walk to the 103rd St. 6-train subway stop, a 5 minute walk to the Central Park conservatory garden, and we also have access to some of the best Mexican food in the city ($7.50 burritos!). It’s also short walk or a 4-minute subway ride to countless bars, restaurants, and shopping near E 86th St. The view from the fire escape is also a big plus! Wifi and Con-Ed generally run us $30-60 in additional utility fees. It should be noted that this apartment is rent-stabilized, and a certain, mid-level income range is required to apply.

About the roomies

I’m a 25-year old professional working at Columbia on a hybrid schedule. Though outgoing, I am quiet, clean, and conscientious; I prefer a tranquil living environment, though I certainly do not mind occasional company! In my free time, I enjoy reading, cooking, playing MarioKart and chess, as well as exploring the city with my friends. I’m looking for someone who is somewhat near my age and values the same tenets of roommate living.

If you are interested, please contact me via Roomies or my listed email and I’d be happy to give you an in-person or virtual tour, as well as provide more detail regarding income requirements and the application process (through my current landlord).
