The Room: Third floor master bedroom with en-suite private bathroom. The room is 12x16 feet, with hardwood floors and 3 windows which supply lots of natural light. The room overlooks a park across the street. Large (non walk in) closet with substantial additional attic storage behind. The room is adjacent a (shared) third floor loft family room and roof deck. The room includes its own full size refrigerator and freezer and microwave. The room also includes a 40 inch wall mounted TV with a fire stick, a white rug and rug pad, and a remote controlled ceiling fan/light. We have included a photo of the room furnished to get an idea for its size.

The Community: The community amenities include a seasonal outdoor pool, 24 hour fitness center, gas bonfire tables, grills, a playground, and a clubhouse, as well as community ‘greens’. There is plenty of street parking directly in front of the house. The house is new, built in September of 2022.

The Location: The location is three miles from downtown Frederick (8 minute drive), only a 15 minute walk from walking/biking trails leading to downtown Frederick and bakers park, five minutes from Fort Detrick, five minutes from Hood College, five minutes from FCC, seven minutes to Frederick Memorial Hospital, and within minutes from highways such as 15, 70, and 270. The neighborhood is about 5 minutes from 3 different grocery stores, a drive through Dunkin’ Donuts, a Starbucks, and many other shops and restaurants. There are multiple parks within walking distance, and the neighborhood is very peaceful and quiet, with friendly neighbors.

The House: Brand new townhome with modern amenities, hardwood floors throughout entire house, granite counters in the kitchen and bathrooms, and a good sized backyard. The house includes a roof deck hot tub and tv which is available for use. The house is an end unit so there is plenty of natural light. Mountain views from the roof deck. All utilities (electric, water, trash, gas stove, internet) are included along with use of the main kitchen (the room includes a separate full refrigerator/freezer and microwave) and laundry. There are two Ethernet jacks in the room for connecting computers or televisions. We do require a rug and rug pad (which we have provided although you are free to get a different rug) be used in the room as well as no shoes on the third floor as the hard floors convey sound very well.

About You: We are seeking a female professional or student who is looking to live in a quiet, safe location with a young family. We are looking for someone intending to stay at least 6 months, however we prefer to do a month to month lease as we have had several previous tenants request to end their lease early and we find having month to month makes that easier. We are asking for no guests outside of your immediate family while living here since we would like to keep things predictable with our toddler. We also will require a credit and background check before moving in (they can be done for $50 through this app). We will have a lease contract for both us and you to sign before move in to ensure we are all on the same page. We are able to provide previous tenant/roommate references upon request.

About Us: We are a couple in their thirties with a 3.5 year old daughter, and 2 month old baby girl and a Bernese mountain dog. Steven is an electrician and Morgan works part time from home as a patent examiner. Steven grew up in Frederick and we moved here in September of 2022 after living in northern Virginia for a number of years.

Pets: We are open to having a cat, if you are okay with keeping them in your living space with you. We would charge pet rent of $50 a month for a pet.
