Hi all! I am looking for a roommate (female, preferably 26+ yo) for my 2 Bedroom/2 Bath apartment in the Grand Lake neighborhood of Oakland. The apt is on the top floor in a calm building with a shared parking space and plenty of street parking. It is within walking distance of Lake Merritt and the Grand Lake farmers’ market. Your portion of the rent would be $1500/month (not including utilities), and this is available now. Move in date is flexible, ideally by July 1. We would start with a month-to-month agreement.

The room: The room is spacious and bright. It can easily fit a shelf, a full or queen-size bed, and a desk. It has ample closet space and a large window to let light in. The room is partially furnished with a platform full bed frame with drawer storage and a mattress (see photos).

The apartment: The apartment is updated and spacious. It has a sleek kitchen with all appliances, including a dishwasher, in-unit washer and dryer, a sizable balcony overlooking the Oakland hills, and a full guest bathroom that the tenant would use primarily (the other bathroom is used by me, so you’d have your own bathroom).

The area: Located right near the Morcom Rose Garden, a little hideaway garden in the middle of the neighborhood. Walkable to both the shops on Grand and the shops on Piedmont. Conveniently located within a couple of miles of 3 grocery stores, as well as lots of coffee, cafes, restaurants, and fitness studios.

Cons: Not within walking distance of any BART station but easily accessible by scooter, bus, or bike. No pets are allowed. No A/C or ceiling fans, but the weather rarely calls for it.
