About the room

Hey there! We’re in the neighborhood of Wissahickon. The property is located above a shop/office space at the end of a block of row houses. The second floor is a spacious kitchen and living room with a half bathroom, the third floor is bedrooms, full bath, and laundry. Very close to the bus station, train station, and bike trails into/out of the city.

About the roomies

I have lived here since 2014 when my bandmates and I decided we wanted a space to live in and practice music together. The other bandmates moved out, but there is still a drum set and active practice space in the house. Practices are in the living room a few times a month. We’ve never had neighbor complaints for the noise, but it does get loud sometimes. We’re not big partiers, but sometimes we do host DIY shows at the house.

We take turns using the living room space for movies or video games. The other roommate spends a good portion of his time in his room playing video games. He can get loud when he plays, but is nice and friendly. Almost too friendly at times, as he can be a bit of a talker lol… The only drugs that come into the house are weed and occasional hallucinogens. Guests are welcome as long as they’re not rowdy or disrespectful. We try to keep a peaceful, clean space. You must be a grown adult that can take care of their mess and take responsibility for themselves. We have a rotating bathroom cleaning schedule. Not trying to be a dick about this, but we don’t want to live in your filth.

I spend several nights a week at my partner’s house, so it may just be you and the other guy most nights. I consider myself a nice, pleasant, and somewhat soft-spoken person. The other guy is a little more boisterous, but again, friendly (think an anxious Ghost of Christmas Present lol).

The landlord is nice and doesn’t breath down our necks for rent, but also she trusts us to pay on-time, so it’s a two-way street. She’s not always prompt on repairs, but she’s been a little better about that lately.
