Female Roommate Wanted to Share a Sunny and Spacious Apartment in Evanston

This beautiful 2-bedroom, 1-bath light-filled apartment is on the 3rd floor of a quiet, classic courtyard building with windows on 3 sides.

Located in south east Evanston (1 1/2 miles south of Northwestern University) with numerous parks, and Lake Michigan with 2 beaches nearby. The Northwestern bus, Purple Line L, Metra train, and Pace Bus 213, are one block away, as are two cafes with outdoor seating. Jewel grocery store and Trader Joe’s are a short walk away. On site laundry and maintenance person. Electricity and cooking gas are split.

Looking for one female who is kind, conscientious, thoughtful, drug-free, totally smoke-free, down-to-earth and reasonably neat in shared areas. Ideal for a vegetarian/vegan or someone who doesn’t cook meat and fish at home but we can discuss options (reheat prepared/frozen meals/ canned seafood). Instant coffee can work but brewing coffee is a bit too strong as unfortunately I am scent sensitive.

Eco-friendly and for the healthiest indoor air I’ve eliminated synthetic cleaning chemicals, air ‘fresheners’, scented candles, and chemical perfumes. Unscented or naturally scented soaps, etc work best. (I can help you with ideas.) Roommates who are chemically sensitive, have asthma, or prefer an eco-friendly, more natural lifestyle will feel very comfortable here.

I realize this isn’t for everyone, but you would be surprised at the amount of people who call happy to find someone living the way they do.

The room has a ceiling fan and a window box fan. There is no central air conditioning but you are welcome to have a window unit. My current roommate has a window air conditioner in the room that may be available. There is also a bed, if needed.

$50 background check fee to management company which requires income 3x the rent; $863 x 3 = $2,587.50= $647 weekly and a credit score of 680. Alternatively, you may qualify with a co-signer.

About me: happy and down-to-earth female with a love of nature who is environmentally conscious and conscientious. I have been told by others that I am kind, thoughtful, fair-minded, and easy to talk with. You will have space and privacy but when you want a friendly chat or someone to bounce ideas around with to problem solve I am up for that, too.
