Southeast 14th Avenue

Some requirements up front: no smoking allowed on property; 12 month lease (though happy to have folks who want to renew in future years); looking for people making at least three times monthly rent; cat or dog allowed, but not more than 2 cats or 1 dog. (Note: I don’t have photos of the room besides the one of the window. It is currently occupied by my current housemate, so to protect her privacy I’ve only uploaded renderings of the room. However, I’m happy to show the room in person.) The rowhouse has 3 bedrooms and 1.5 baths. Upstairs has all three bedrooms, laundry, and the full bath. First floor is the living room, kitchen, half bath, and the back patio. Basement garage is quite large, and has a workout area with weightlifting equipment. The house has central heating and air conditioning. There is a small backyard with a patio, and we share a larger backyard with the other 9 rowhouses. The room has an east-facing bay window, with a view out onto the street. The dimensions are about 10ft by 11ft, not counting space in the closet, where the door swings open, and the nook for the bay window. The room is carpeted and the previous housemate had two cats, so be aware of that if you have any allergies. There is a parking spot in front of the garage that is open for use. The room shares a wall with the neighbors, but the walls between units are very well insulated. We’ve never heard any noise from the other side.

My name is Will and I’ve been in Portland since 2012. I’ve lived with housemates most of the time since then. I bought this place in 2018, and have always had two housemates. My most recent ones have been here for 4 years. This room is opening up in May. Depending on my other housemates plans, it’s possible the other room may open up as well. I work from home. I like to cook and sometimes brew beer. I’m also experimenting with some gardening. If you live with me, you may get to enjoy some of my home-grown tomatoes (fingers-crossed!). I am around most of the year, but occasionally out of town. I like both cats and dogs. I’m happy to watch them as needed. I often dog sit for my friends; I can usually do so at their place, but if it’s alright with housemates I will have them over at our house.
