• Spacious top floor 2 bed 2 bath apartment/ condo with a balcony, small outside storage, and free access to on-site gym and pool.
• 15 min walk (0.8 miles) to Shady Grove Metro which can take you right into DC on the red line and connect up with lots of buses.
• Fully furnished living area, dining area and bathroom, wifi is set up.
• Separate room for laundry and dryer, can hang clothes on rail or hangers too.
• The bedroom for rent has a double bed that has not been used very much (was a guest bedroom), 2 lamps, a mirror and a built-in wardrobe. You will have access to your own spacious bathroom (that only guests will use if visiting)
• Kitchen has a new fridge freezer, cooker and microwave

-Bills are not included in rent and will be split evenly between all tenants.

-No animals allowed due to our landlord’s restrictions

• The apartment block is very quiet and has mostly working professionals, so the same is expected in our apartment.

We are looking for either a female or couple to rent the room. Must be a working professional, clean and tidy, relatively quiet, no smoking, no drugs. No parties or too many people coming and going.

We are a married couple in our mid to late-20s from the UK + Ireland. Tim (male) works full-time hours at NIH doing cancer research, and Katie (female) works part-time as a nanny 20hrs (so will be around sometimes during the day). We both normally go to bed around 9.30/10 pm and wake around 6 am. So we would like someone who can be quiet at night and respect a working schedule. There may be some kitchen noise in the morning when getting ready for work.

We are very involved in our church which is just up the road. We like to host a games night once a month in our apartment normally on a Friday or Saturday night (which you are more than welcome to attend) there is normally a group of 6 to 10 adults and ends around 10.30 pm.

Katie loves having plants around and enjoys caring for them. Tim likes to grow food and herbs by the window in the kitchen and balcony area. During the spring-fall months, we like to go camping and hiking regularly on the weekends, so there may be times you have the place all to yourself! We also take long trips back to the UK and Ireland sometimes. We like there to be lots of peace and space to relax quietly without the TV on all the time. We both enjoy reading, movies and working out.

We eat mostly Pescetarian (fish) but any diet is welcome here.
