Hello! I am looking for someone to rent the available bedroom in my Vancouver home. There are currently three other housemates renting other bedrooms. You would get a private room (11x10) with a closet, small storage, parking for 1 car, and use of the furnished common areas including kitchen, living and dining rooms, laundry and covered porches. I remodeled the house about 5 years ago, so everything is like new, including the kitchen, bathrooms, floors, paint etc. The house has central air conditioning and heating, off street parking, and the kitchen is stocked with cookware and dining ware you are welcome to use. You would share the bathroom with one other person. (We keep these areas very clean) It’s 2 blocks to a bus stop, near to I-205 and plenty of grocery stores, restaurants and businesses. 15 minute drive to Portland Airport, Clark College, and Washington State University. All utilities and internet are included in the $625 rent, and the $450 deposit is refundable. Lease is month to month but ideally looking for someone who intends to stay at least 6 months. No pets or animals of any kind are allowed, and no indoor smoking or vaping. We have housemates with allergies, so it is important for the air in the house to be clean. Outdoor smoking of tobacco and cannabis is fine.

Currently renting rooms in the house are three males, two in their early 30’s and one mid 20’s. They work in finance, electrical engineering and retail. Everyone’s usually leading busy independent lives but catch up in the common areas to chat and share an occasional dinner and conversations. You are welcome to be as private or social as you want to be. The ideal person would be: A grad student or working professional, somewhere between 25-45, give or take. Interested and engaged in what you are doing, well put together and functional, and a good communicator. If you are a person who drinks, you do so responsibly. You are quiet and considerate, especially if people are sleeping, and you take the time to clean up your messes as they are made, and do your part in cleaning the common areas. And hopefully you are looking for the same in others.
