THIS LISTING IS FOR THE ENTIRE APARTMENT, NOT JUST A ROOM. The apartment is for you and the cat, King Hannah, in the photograph. If you are not willing to live with her, then this listing is not for you!

Lease runs from now through September 30, 2023. Water and gas are included in the rent. Electricity ($35-$150) and the internet ($55) is your responsibility to pay. There is an application and background check conducted with leasing office for approval. If you’d like to renew the lease solely under your name around that time, you can!

What you get out of it:

• Rent actually costs $860, but I will pay $160 per month ($800 total) through September to support you for caring for King Hannah and holding my mail. You pay $700 per month.
• Rent has increased in my apartment complex so new tenants would be paying even more than $860 for the same place. By doing this, you get the old rate plus a discount.
• This apartment can be furnished like what is featured in the photo or unfurnished if you’d like.
• The neighbor is really sweet and watches King Hannah whenever I am traveling.
• Food in Bellaire is delicious and affordable. Boba spots everywhere.
• Alief Community Park opened up recently is the best park I’ve been to. Ping pong tables, Tennis courts, skate park, basketball, street soccer, free indoor gym, library, etc. It’s AMAZING

Why I’m leaving: I recently got a remote job and want to use the opportunity to live on the road for a few months especially before the Houston summer rolls in. Unfortunately, I am unable to sublease the apartment or break my lease without a hefty fee, so I am essentially adding you as a roommate.

Your roommate will be an 11-month-old cat named King Hannah. She’s a former Houston stray who is spayed and vaccinated. I am trying to find a home for her, but in the meantime, she will live in the apartment. I will pay for her food, litter and any visits to the veterinarian. She is a cat who likes her boundaries, but is also affectionate. She will let you know when she wants affection and when she does not. She’s almost always down to play with a wand or laser. She also likes to spend time out on the balcony, sometimes for several hours.

As for me, I will be traveling across the U.S. in my car. I may leave some items in a box in the closet during that time and have mail sent to the apartment occasionally. Later in the year, I will pick everything up and take it to my new home in California (around early September).

So, the apartment is essentially yours!
