Hello! Room is available now. Would just need to get your name on the lease. No deposit. Just start paying the rent. Utilities are split three ways. We do not pay water. The bathroom is shared with my roommate. The parking is reserved outdoor parking. We have a gas stove. You are welcome to cook. We also have a washer and dryer in the garage. We also have a second fridge/freezer in the garage. There is an extra small open space upstairs that can be used. It has some bookshelves and a printer up there. We have a google thermostat and ring doorbell that you can connect to your phone. Tv downstairs. I have a dog. While pets are not allowed, I have an ESA (emotional support animal) letter . So if you have that or they are a service animal, the landlord cannot fight that. We are walking distance to Food For Less and Cardenas. Short 7 min drive to Target and other shopping centers. We are about a 20-25 min drive from Mt. SAC and Cal Poly without traffic. With traffic is typically about 35 to 45 min.

I am Chicana, a dancer, an ASL interpreter, an activist for LGBTQ2IA+ rights and for BIPOC rights. I am female and my roommate is male. We are very quiet and very clean. We are LGBTQ+ friendly. My roommate and I are both Sign Language interpreters. Previous roommate left because he got a job out of state and had to leave in two weeks. Prior to that, he lived here for about 7 years. My roommate has lived here for about four years and I have lived here for about two years. You will never see my roommate as he is an introvert, keeps to himself and stays in his room. We also were friends prior to being roommates. Cats may not be the best for this place because my dog may want to chase them, but she is great with other dogs. If you have a dog, we just ask that they are quiet, friendly with dogs, and recommend an ESA letter. Without an ESA letter, landlords won’t accept them. Heads up: With the new policy, it takes about 30 days to get one (about two 1-hour phone calls with a therapist) and it can cost just over $100 total, but it varies. You can ask any local therapist that covers ESA versus online which could be scams. We would be willing to hide the dog until you get an ESA letter if you do not have one.
