Hello! Our names are Jaden and Nicole and we are seeking a roommate to live with us (and our hypoallergenic puppy) in Happy Valley starting around early April. The room we are offering for rent is approximately 11 feet by 12 feet with a closet that is approximately 4 feet by 7 feet. It comes with a mostly private full bathroom as well. The house is only a year and a half old so it looks modern and has mostly new appliances. There are many running and walking trails near our house, a Fred Meyer within a quarter mile, a Costco within 15 minutes, numerous healthcare facilities within a mile or two (Primary care, dentist, chiropractor, emergency care…), a couple parks nearby, and lots of restaurants/food carts within 10 minutes. The community is very clean and safe and about 30 minutes from most things in Portland. Happy Valley itself is a wonderful town and hosts many activities throughout the year to the public. If you enjoy skiing we are approximately an hour from Mt. Hood. Other than your room, the house is furnished with AC, heat, a refrigerator, washer/dryer, dishwasher, wifi and whatever you would normally need on a day-to-day basis. The only place that would need furnishing is your room. Including all utilities, we are asking for $950 a month in a year-long contract, or $1000 a month for a month to month contract. If you would like to pay utilities separate from rent that could be arranged.

About us: Jaden (He/him) – I am 25 and enjoy tennis, spike ball, pickleball, running, hiking, other random sports, board games (HUGE board game fan), and I play a lot of video games with friends. For the most part I work from home in the spare bedroom and spend the majority of my day in that spare bedroom working or on my computer. I also quite enjoy baking bread and other things! My opinion as a roommate is that shared areas need to be kept clean. This means no dishes in the sink or messes left on tables/kitchen, and that chores and cleaning are equitable activities (aka we switch off weekly chores). I technically own the house and so am the “landlord” as well. Nicole (She/her) – I am 28 and enjoy triathlon based activities as well as some other sports. I am up early most mornings to walk our dog before going on a run or exercising in the garage (on my bike or weights). I also work from home and am usually at different locations in the house throughout the day (In zoom meetings, at my computer, or on the phone). I frequently watch television downstairs in the evening (cooking shows, reality TV, etc.). I also spend a large portion of my day in the kitchen cooking. I have a food Instagram I film and photograph dishes for as well as prepping meals for myself and Jaden. I would want a future roommate to respect the kitchen space as organization is important to me and we have nice things I like to keep in good shape.
