Nice 800-900sf apartment in Eastside, about a mile from downtown Oceanside. 2 bed / 2 bath (floor plan in photos) on the 2nd story (no one above) and there’s a nice deck overlooking the tennis courts. There’s also a fairly spacious storage room on the deck. Master bedroom has its own bathroom and a walk in closet. The apartment is quiet and the complex kind of feels like student housing with a lot of meandering footpaths, detached buildings, and large trees. Good quality appliances with an electric stove/oven, dishwasher, and fridge. Gas is included in the rent, electricity is generally $50-60, internet is $50, and water/trash/sewer is generally around $120 a month—obviously we would split those between us. Free parking unless you want a carport spot which is $40 a month. Amenities include a gym, pool, Jacuzzi, beach volleyball court, tennis courts, and a small dog park. There’s heat in the units but not A/C. Being this close to the beach and the river it doesn’t get very hot. In the last 9 months or so that I’ve been here I would have only used the A/C for maybe two or three days. Maintenance here is pretty good, too. When the microwave stopped working they changed it in like two hours. And the apartment is sheltered by other buildings too so you don’t hear much traffic noise.

A lot of the shared things are already here, you can use my TV, Netflix/Hulu (until they stop allowing me to use my brother’s accounts), I have a couch, small dining table, coffee table, toaster, blender, vacuum, etc. I have a modem and router that work pretty well. If you play online video games in your room there’s already a like 100ft Ethernet cable set up so I’m sure we could buy that off my roommate for like $15.

The apartment is pet friendly with I think the exception of the large dog breeds. I think pet rent is $50 a month with a $500 deposit.

The apartment is actually pretty great! The only downside is really the rent…

I’m a 25 year-old young professional that enjoys reading and hanging out with friends as well as going for walks/hikes/bike rides on weekends. But in all honesty, after work most nights I will just watch a bad show or movie on Netflix. I am pretty clean, I don’t let dishes pile up in the sink, I sweep every 2-3 weeks, and take out the trash when it’s full. I’m also quiet and respectful like I’ll listen to my music in headphones and if I am on the phone I will go to my room and close the door. If I do something that bothers you just let me know, I am pretty reasonable and I don’t want to bother you. I have a office job so I get up at 7 and get home at about 5:30 M-F.
