Calyer Street

I just signed a lease for an 2BR apartment in Wburg/Greenpoint on 114 Calyer. I need a roommate! The apartment is wonderful and was definitely one of the best I’ve seen in my month-long apartment hunt. Here are some details:

• It’s a huge 2BR, 1 bath. I’m asking for $2350 for one room, not including gas and electric which I think will come out to $150 total a month (so $75 each). It’s available starting March 1st maybe slight before!
• Your bedroom is 15x11… which is huge I know!
• It’s about 1050sq feet total huge living room and large windows, the bedrooms are extremely large and comfortable (check the photos out!).
• The kitchen/living room has more than enough space for a full couch, tv, dining table, and kitchen island.
• Laundry in building
• Small bike room in the basement
• It’s 5 minutes away walking from McCarran park, the tennis courts, the Vital climbing gym, the bars on Greenpoint Ave. The waterfront is down the block!
• Whole foods is 10 blocks away and there’s a closer grocery store 8 blocks away on Kent.
• The protected bike path on the water is half a block away to Wburg and South Brooklyn. As someone who’s lived in the area for 10 years, it’s hard to beat!
• We can’t do pets in the apartment due to landlord’s orders! Sorry!

It’s a comfy home, super big, minutes to McCarran, Wburg is conveniently close, and the bike lines are all nearby, and the G train is a couple blocks away!

Just to give you some background info about myself: I’m a 36 yr old born-and-raised New Yorker who works in tech as a data engineer at Hinge, I teach tennis part-time at the McCarran club, I graduated from Amherst and currently in grad school for data science, I have no pets and would like to keep the apartment that way, I’m fun and friendly!, love good indie film and conversing about them, I love playing the keyboard, I read and am politically left and talkative about the issues of today, I love having friends over for dinner ocassionally but rarely, if ever, throw large parties in my home, and I’m a clean and friendly and communicative person! If you’re new to NYC, happy to share my favorite places around the city (uluh is the best Chinese food atm!). I’m looking for a roommate (m or f) who I can get along and share my home with!
