While currently furnished, the room can have furniture moved out to make room for your own belongings if seeking an unfurnished room.

The room is in a cute 3-bedroom ranch style house decorated in mid-century modern style. New furnace and central AC. Gas stove and oven, dishwasher, and washer and dryer. Fiber internet. The kitchen is well stocked with appliances, cookware, and spices. There is a large yard with garden space and a covered patio just off the kitchen.

The room has a queen-sized bed and a large closet. The house is a little more than a mile from Fred Meyer grocery store and is halfway between downtown Portland and the Columbia River Gorge. One of the bedrooms has been repurposed as a library space. There are subscriptions to HBO Max, Netflix, and Apple TV +.

A senior cat and a young-at-heart yet middle-aged gay man will be your housemates. The homeowner, with whom you will be sharing the house, is a working professional.

The ideal individual to rent this room should be emotionally mature with good communication skills and be an active member of society.

• No drugs. Moderate alcohol and 420 is cool.
• No pets. My cat doesn’t tolerate other animals well.
• The house is generally clean, but sometimes can become a bit untidy in the middle of a work stretch.
