Olivewood Avenue

The $400/month covers rent and all utilities & wifi. The fully furnished room available in my single family home in Lakewood comes with a twin bed, dresser & nightstand. There’s a small closet, ceiling fan & AC unit. Currently, I am only looking for someone who needs the space for a short period of time (anything from 1 week to 1 year). Quiet hours in the house start at midnight. It’s not crazy loud but you’ll hear some online gaming gabber (fun, not inappropriate) until then. I have 2 rooms with the same description open right now. One is a little bigger than the other.

About the house: It’s a nice single family home on a quiet residential street on the 24/7 #26 bus line. It’s kept very clean, but I’m constantly updating something. It was a fixer upper when I got it and I haven’t finished all the tweaking . There are wood floors throughout, a front porch w/a swing, a spacious 1st floor and kitchen, and a washer & dryer in the unfinished basement. I’ve got everything you need in small & large kitchen appliances (no air fryer). The yard is a postage stamp, but the back yard is completely fenced in so it’s nice and private. There’s a garage, but it’s not big enough for more than a sub-compact so it’s mostly used for storage and work space. We already have 2 cars so the driveway is usually full but there are usually plenty of spaces on the street.

About the household: I am a 49 yr old female, the artistic hippy sort. I do the 9-5 thing during the week. I have 2 cats and a dog. The place is clean, but if you’re allergic it’s probably not the place for you. I’m pretty quiet & a bit of a homebody. I like hanging out with my friends and puttering around in the house & yard. I’m more than happy to socialize, and just as happy to leave you alone to your space. I’m pretty laid back and easy to get along with. I’ve lived with all sorts of different people so I rarely get bothered by everyone’s habits. There is 1 other roommate, a 28 yr old male who lives in the furnished attic space. He’s currently in school. When he’s not studying he’s either gaming or hanging out with his girlfriend.

About you: Need a place for a short period of time (1 year or less). I don’t expect you to be a neat freak, but to respect that this is a shared living environment where everyone is expected clean up after themselves and to be an adult and be respectful of the people they live with. Overnight guests and friends are welcome. As long as you’re here I expect you to treat this as your house too.
