Large, bright, unfurnished room for rent on Petaluma’s quiet, west side near McNear Park. Non-smoking, employed, female only, please. 14’ x 15’, carpeted corner room opening to backyard in lovely West Petaluma ranch style home ½ mile to downtown and bus/train service. Room has two closets and built-in desk nook. Our home has large backyard with fire pit, pool and lounging areas. Rent includes internet, most utilities (contribute to winter heat excess electric), laundry and kitchen privileges. Contribute to household consumables (typically $20/mo. each). Share bathroom with 2 other women. Two cats in residence, so please, no one with cat allergies or additional pets. Home is large, active, warm, communal living with married owners and 2 mature female housemates. Full time, outside employment needed (we apologize that ‘working from home’ situations haven’t worked for us). References, employment and credit checked (including previous living situation). Owners Mike & Ginny: Married 2001, now semi-retired but still very active, with 3 kids grown and our middle daughter (full time working at Costco) living here at home. Our other tenant is an upbeat, very warm, mid-fifties single lady with steady full time employment at Lucky’s. Mike is competitive ping pong player and recently retired from his entrepreneurial effort forced to close from Covid impacts and now handles all in-house and outside maintenance and major outside home upgrades. Ginny works part time at a popular restaurant at the Livestock Auction Yard. We love to travel, especially to Ginny’s cottage on Lake Erie near Detroit during the summer where she grew up. Our general house atmosphere is respect for individual privacy with warm, low stress in-house interactions. We expect each house member to help keep common house areas clean (kitchen & bath) and also request assistance with general occasional house cleaning (vacuuming etc).
