Hello and welcome! My mom and I are looking to welcome you into our home and hope your stay here is relaxing, peaceful, and enjoyable.

Our home is located almost centrally and close to 99. You are welcome to the kitchen (full) as well as the back yard. There is laundry (in the laundry room). Our home is a smart home with various automation processes that control lighting, HVAC, and other accessories. AC is used continuously in the summer and heating is used continuously in the winter. We have a cat and he has access to all areas (sans outdoors) with limited / no access to your room, as requested by you. At this time, we can’t allow other pets as kitty scares easily.

All utilities and WiFi (fiber) are included but we ask you be conscientious with water use since we’re still in drought danger territory. We do have a security system that is semi-automated and you will be given an access code. There are security cameras in all common areas of the house (HKSV, non-cloud-fed) as well as outside so please be aware of that. There is an L2 EVSE available if you have an EV / PHEV and we will coordinate with you on parking in the driveway to get you charged up.

If you need it, I can provide you access to Netflix and even my Plex / Emby server, which has more curated movies / TV shows like The Golden Girls, The Nanny, a myriad of old-school cartoons and TV shows, and a selection of movies, new and old.

About the room: The room is quite spacious at 13’ x 11’. The closet has a built-in organizer and there is a south-facing window that faces the front of the house / street / sidewalk. A twin-size adjustable bed (bedding is provided, if needed), writing / work desk, lighting accessories, and bedside table are standard. There is also an Amazon FireTV for use as well. If additional furniture is needed, we can discuss your needs. The room comes with its own (non-en-suite) bathroom. There is a remote controlled ceiling fan. If you want to hang things, we will provide Command Adhesive hooks and velcro to hang them but ask no nailing as the lath and plaster can start cracking if nails are used. Towels, if needed, are provided as well.

It’s just my mom, myself, and Ram, or 10-year-old cat (he’s skittish and tends to run away from everyone).

Both mom and I work from home. We are non-smokers, indoors and out, and don’t do drugs. We require you be a non-smoker and non-drug user as well. I am home nearly 24/7, unless I need to work on-prem. If you’re looking for a sober living environment, we are exactly that!

We very rarely have friends and / or family over but will advise if they need to stay over (we have a pull-out available for overnight guests). Generally our home is peaceful and quiet, minus kitty meowing for food or attention.

We are both vaccinated and boosted and require you be too to protect our health.
