I am looking for one tenant to sublet my 2 rooms of an apartment/townhouse in Somerville. The rent is $1,100 for the 2 rooms combined. Both rooms have hardwood floors, radiator heating, full closets, and plenty of natural light. Perfect for someone who works from home to have an at-home office space, or for someone who works in the city as the green line T is a 5-min walk away.

The apartment is bright and sunny with gorgeous hardwood floors, full-sized dining and living rooms, jetted tub in the bathroom, updated kitchen with dishwasher, in-unit laundry, basement storage, and lots of plants. The 2nd floor also features a covered deck/porch. There is plenty of street parking available with resident parking permit as well.

There are 2 other tenants living there currently. Both are quiet and respectful. The apartment spans the 2nd and 3rd floor, but these two rooms are on the 2nd floor. The 2nd floor bathroom would be shared by you and only 1 other tenant.

Utilities (heating, electric) and wifi are split between all 3 tenants. Rent is due at the 1st of each month. Background/credit check is required by the landlord prior to moving in. Lease spans until August 31st with option to renew at that time.

No pets, no smoking.

I’m moving out because my partner and I are getting engaged so I’m moving in with him. The landlord gave me permission to sublet my share of the apartment in exchange for me finding a suitable tenant for them and the other roommates.

The current 2 tenants are mid-20s. Sam (she/they) lives on the 2nd floor and would share a bathroom and living room with you. They like art and they’re the one with all of the plants. They work part time and go to school part time. Dom (he/him) lives on the 3rd floor and has his own bathroom, bedroom, and living room/office up there. He works full time from home. He pays extra to have the 3rd floor to himself and to have the garage to keep his car and motorcycles. He mostly keeps to himself. They’re both respectful & very clean people. Spaces shared with everyone include the kitchen, basement, and dining room.
