South Cherokee Street

This is an old 60’s styled house split into two units, upstairs and downstairs. Both units are private from each other, and there is a shared laundry room in the downstairs entrance, nonintrusive and separate. There is a split-fenced backyard, semi-shared between both units but reasonably private. The unit/room available is the upstairs east-facing room, and I will be living in the west-facing room across the hall. The bathroom is right in between both bedrooms, moderate space and a bathtub shower. Almost all windows in the unit are crank-open, so that’s one thing to keep in mind when bringing a personal window AC unit. Otherwise a cozy space, with decent kitchen and living room. One note: electricity is a separate bill we pay monthly. The total upstairs usually runs at about $150 for the high’s and low’s of the seasons. This will be split evenly between both people, for an average of $75 tacked individual portions of rent.

Other amenities: a garage for storage (the bay door doesn’t work, so can’t store your car), oven and electric stove, fridge with freezer, within easy walking distance of the Evans light rail station, and located walking distance to Broadway Street.

About the roomies

Alisae is moving due to her nursing program and we are looking for a roommate to take over the lease. I am a mechanics student who is clean and very empathetic. I have a cat named Taco who is very quiet and friendly. I stay vigilant in making sure she doesn’t damage personal belongings, and she is a clean cat overall. If you’re fond of cats as well, she’ll take a liking to you. Otherwise, she respects the kind of people who like their space :)

I would prefer a roommate who is open-minded to me having pets over from time to time, but that too can be discussed if boundaries are needed! I occasionally dogsit 🐕Overall, communication will keep the roommate relationship happy as we get to know each other over the next year!

Final note: I’m sorry to say dogs aren’t allowed. The landlord is okay with the occasional visitor, but he doesn’t want them living there.

Hello! We are looking to fill the space ASAP! We had a friend who had planned to take his place, but variables led to a change in plans last second. But overall, a very calm and easy going environment living here. I enjoy a decent mix of both exercise and gaming, so if either or both are your style, I’m interested in a co-op :)
