West 170th Street

Immediate opening for a spacious, private room in Washington Heights, February 1, 2023. A family emergency has me breaking my lease early.

Rent is $1050 per month PLUS 1/3 utilities. MUST BE ABLE TO PAY BY JANUARY 31 FOR FEBRUARY RENT. NO SECURITY DEPOSIT! The lease is until Sept 2023. FEMALES ONLY.

The room is considered the master bedroom and has 4 windows because the room is on the corner of the building on the 5th floor. It has a nice skyline view of Manhattan and you can see the sun rise and set! Great natural lighting. Decent-sized closet with storage space above the outside of the closet.

The apartment has hardwood floors, updated kitchen cabinets, fully stocked kitchen appliances, and dishes, high ceilings, a washer/dryer in the bathroom, an elevator, and 1 shared bathroom.

Located 2 blocks from the blue and red line subways at 168th St & Broadway. Shopping and dining within walking distance. There’s a taco truck parked outside that’s open late at night and a 24/7 McDonald’s is 2 blocks away.

The current tenants of the space are 2 women in their mid-late 20s-early 30s. Nicole studies Vocal Jazz and Piano at City College and works at The Metropolitan Opera House as Production Assistant. Zoe is a full-time Jazz Musician who performs and teaches in the New York area. We are respectful and courteous to everyone in the space but do prefer to practice in the home at times (this space is quite good for keeping noise minimal, if you are in your room, especially, so it has not so far been an issue for anyone). We are friendly, but also enjoy our times of solitude and respect each other’s space. The communal spaces are kept clean and we have not had issues with pests as a result - we would like to keep it that way
