Your private area of my house would include a fully furnished bedroom with a Double size bed and dresser, a private furnished living room/office,and a private bathroom. The house also includes a shared living room, diningroom, breakfast nook, remodeled Dutch kitchen, private pool and lanai. You will find my house welcoming and peaceful. Rent includes utilities. Owner has a small dog who shares the house. Renter must be ok with the dog. Cannot consider renters with cats or dogs or young children living full time in house.

I am the house owner. I’m a pretty independent 79 year old who likes to contribute, in a positive way, to the lives of others. As a retired teacher, I volunteer to teach English as a Second Language for the Sarasota Literacy Council. Before the pandemic, I was also active in the Sister Cities organization of Sarasota and the Guardian Ad Litem program where I advocated for children who were sheltered by the courts and often placed in foster homes. The theater, art museums, the orchestra, ballet and opera are all interests of mine as well. Interesting conversations are a cornerstone of my lifestyle. I have a number of friends who have retired from teaching overseas and now live in Sarasota. We have somewhat active social lives. In the past, I have always been ready to participate in any traveling adventure. My current medical challenges have limited some of my plans but, I’m very sure that soon I’ll be traveling again. WARNING - Don’t ask me about my favorite trips unless you’re interested to see some of my favorite photo collections because photography is a favorite hobby of mine. I’d also warn against questions about my genealogy research because you may be in for several stories of members of my family from the 1600s.😀 I am looking to find a compatible housemate. I live in the Wellington Chase part of Palmer Ranch, 15 minutes or less from Siesta Key Beach.
