Jessica's room

I have a very sweet downstairs unit of a duplex in North Oakland near Bushrod Park. The space has an open floor plan, an office nook, laundry in unit, dishwasher, and shared spaces are fully furnished. The room is about 8 by 9 with a full closet and large window. We have a private side yard and shared huge backyard that is wonderfully landscaped with a built in fire pit, a large grill, and 6 person table and chairs. The neighborhood is great - quiet, with friendly neighbors, very walkable. It takes about 15 min to walk to the heart of Temescal, Ashby Bart is a 10 min walk away, we are right off Shattuck for anyone commuting to Cal, and less than 5 min from Berkeley Bowl, 2 Whole Foods and a TJ’s plus lots of smaller, local spots. For now the room is month to month with the option to sign onto the lease in July when I renew. Note - photos are both current and from the property management before I moved in.

Your roommates would be me and my pup. I’m a 38 y/o F, queer, work in a local non-profit with a hybrid mostly in the office schedule. I value being friendly with the people I live with, though of course we don’t have to be best friends. As long as we can communicate proactively and openly, we’re good to go :) My pup is Fern - she’s a 40 lb rescue mutt with some lingering trauma. She takes a while to warm up to new people and I’m hoping to find someone who understands fearful dogs.
