One bedroom for rent in a charming 2-bedroom unit in the heart of downtown Salem. Just steps from the harbor and the Hawthorne Hotel, the location can’t be beaten! The unit includes a large sunny kitchen with a pantry, living room, bathroom, and two bedrooms. The bedroom is unfurnished and the rest of the house is mostly furnished though could probably fit a couch as my roommate is taking one with her. Plenty of wall space for art and plants!

My roommate of a year and a half is sadly moving out and I am looking to fill her room starting March 1. Rent is $950 per month plus utilities. While there isn’t laundry on site there is a laundromat just a few blocks over on Derby Street. This is a first-floor apartment in a triple-decker with quiet neighbors. No pets unfortunately and no couples. First month’s rent and security deposit are due at signing. Lease is month to month.

About me, I am a 29-year-old woman working in higher education and am looking for a roommate who is respectful, kind, and clean. I love traveling, reading, going to museums, and exploring the North Shore. I definitely try to take advantage of living downtown as much as I can. On weeknights, I tend to be pretty low-key and then I try to be active and out and about on the weekends–ideally I’d like to find someone like-minded.
