Thayer Street

I am moving and looking for a subletter to fill my room February 1st. It’s a great spot, just a 5 minute walk from the A, 1, Fort Tryon and Inwood Hill park. The room itself is very big, large enough that with a full bed, I can still lay down on the floor in both directions (great for yoga/exercise). Closet goes all the way up to the ceiling and can fit a lot of stuff.

The room comes partially furnished with the futon in photos. I will be taking the rest of the furniture with me. However, I’ll be leaving the window lights! The previous person who lived in this room was a lighting designer– the lights can change color and add great atmosphere to the space. There’s also an AC unit, currently in the closet for winter.

Apartment is a second floor walk up, and this room faces the street. It’s a fairly quiet side street right off of Broadway and Dyckman. Lots of great restaurants, and a 24 hour grocery store just one block away.

Rent is $800 plus utilities/wifi, which usually comes out to about $70. Sublet is until August, then a possible lease takeover if you want to stay. Deposit and first month’s rent needed for move-in.

Roommates are two cool folks in their mid-twenties, working in law and science. They are both very sweet people who I’ve enjoyed living with a lot. Vibe here is overall very homey and cozy.
