Rachel's room

Hi all! I am looking for a roommate for my Astoria, Queens NY apartment and thought this would be a good group to post in! It’s a pretty spacious 2 bed 1 bath with lots of built-in storage, right next to Ditmars Ave in Astoria NY. Rent is $1,081 which I consider a steal for the city, and the landlord is lovely and super reasonable. The bedroom that I am looking to fill is big enough for a queen or a full-size bed, with room for a dresser and desk. There is also a built-in wardrobe providing lots of extra storage, and with our current setup, my roommate uses one of the additional built-ins in the living room as an extra closet. The neighborhood is fantastic! There are tons of cute shops, cafes, restaurants, and bars, and it’s one block away from the subway and a quick walk to Astoria Park.

I work in high-end retail and love all things museums, fashion, and art. I love to stay in and watch movies and crochet but also appreciate hitting the town and taking advantage of everything the city has to offer (15 minutes to 59th and Lex!) I’d love to chat and see if we’d be a good fit and give you some more details.
