Safe street parking, walking distance to a New Seasons grocery, storage space in the heated garage, and new appliances. Back yard includes a dog run and a large wooded patio, fenced-in garden.

Located in Mountain Park, a high-elevation community in Lake Oswego, the property is adorned with paved and dirt trails that snake throughout the community connecting shopping, a community church, and the recreation center.

The Recreation Center is free to residents of Mountain Park. It includes a heated lap pool, leisure swimming pool, jacuzzi, steam and dry sauna, weight center, cardio equipment, yoga/pilates classes, pickle ball, Tennis court, basketball court, and weight room, All within walking distance of the house.

The house is a 5 min drive to the trails of the Tyron State Park with amazing rustic hiking/foraging trails.

Rental is month to month for the remainder of 2023 with the option to continue into 2024. Looking for someone who can commit to 7 months at least. I am subleasing two rooms (or can only sublet 1 room, sharing a guest bedroom for friends and family).

  • 1st bedroom $1100 (fits a king bed, dresser, nightstands, bookshelf, possibly a desk, and has a private door directly from the patio).
  • 2nd bedroom $800 is smaller, with lots of windows, quite warm, and very sunlit (fits a full-size bed, dresser, and a bookshelf). The rooms are across the hall from a bathroom with a very deep tub (which has a shower, too) and large amounts of storage space.

Pets are welcomed (contingent upon the pet and how many) as long as you are conscious, mindful, and responsible and demonstrate the utmost respect for the property, the furniture, and your roommate. The renter splits utilities. Move-in includes the first and last two month’s (November, and December 0f 2023) rent.

Please respond by telling me about yourself, what you are looking for, and your interests. I would like to know your passions, your calling, what you like about living with others, and what you don’t like. Please provide links to social media profiles so I can verify you are human.

There is a $45.00 background check, proof of income needed, and references from prior two landlords.

About the roomies

A little about me; A professional woman in my 40s who goes by she/her pronouns. I’m liberal-minded, educated, and very well-traveled nationally and internationally. I’m an LGBTQIA and BLM ally and an animal rights activist in my free time. I’m plant-based, not wanting to support industrialized agriculture. I practice open, transparent, and compassionate communication about these subjects when prompted, and I am always excited to share what I am constantly learning. I am a New Yorker, so I am quite direct as well as kind and compassionate. I communicate my boundaries openly. I will not support passive-aggressive behaviors or any form of toxic or aggressive communication. I love to laugh and find humor in damn near every scenario I encounter. I am very clean and require my roommates to be as well, i.e., shared spaces don’t look like they have been used. Mise En Place.

I don’t smoke tobacco and rarely smoke anything else, primarily when on a hike or camping. In my free time, I MTB in the gorge, forage mushrooms, and wild plants, skijor, skatejor, and love to camp with friends. I love art exhibitions, museums, coffee in the mornings, and great wine in the evenings.

What I am looking for; I am interested in renting to someone with a positive outlook and approach to life, zen, conscious, focused on personal evolution and growth—someone who practices curiosity, compassion, and empathy as core values. Sharing a space with someone requires us all to be aware of our energy, language, and communication styles—ideally, someone who enjoys the company of a roommate rather than sharing a home with them. My home is a zen place where shoes are not worn inside, and no large television adorning the walls, and I will be keeping it this way. The spaces outside the bedrooms are communal and are to be respected. I am open to a movie projector for film nights if that is something desired. I don’t mind if you are partially remote, but if you work from home full-time, that might be another discussion highly contingent upon your lifestyle.

I would love to share a home with another pet, preferably a dog, so that mine has a playmate. The best case scenario is someone taking turns with me taking the dogs to the park, puppy-sitting while the other is away or out at dinner, and is a partner in keeping a clean house with well-played dogs. I can not accept excessive barking or whining.

I am NOT looking for roommates with consistent overnight guests who are not on the lease. Moderation and balance are required from both of us.
