Michelle's room

This is a private bedroom and private attached bathroom for rent in the downstairs level of a family home. The room is downstairs / below the main floor of the house and has a semi-private/separate entrance from this level through our second /downstairs living room area. Renting this room does not have access to any other areas of the house (no shared living spaces, no kitchen access, no laundry usage, no use of outdoor areas on property). The renter can have a mini fridge (we have one available for use), microwave, and other simple kitchen appliances in the bedroom if preferred. The house is in a nice neighborhood 1 mile walking distance from downtown Auburn and from old town auburn. The house is walking distance to canal trail with canyon and river views and to entrance point of trails that go all throughout the canyon. As long as we continue to belong to our swim club, we will include access to the seasonal local private pool (summer only) walking distance. There is a train that can be heard from the house. Utilities (PGE, water, garbage, Internet) are included in rent. No pets allowed.

Our house is on a hillside and the main floor with all other bedrooms and kitchen is the upstairs. We are a family with 3 kids ranging in ages 1 - 8 who are home often and can be naturally loud as kids are. We are a household with no smoking (of any sort). Again there are no shared living areas. This is a family household and the renter joining us must have family friendly values /model appropriate behavior for kids to witness and also not be bothered by kid noise. The entry to your private room goes through a living area that our family is sometimes in. We do have a large dog on the property. The previous renter actually ended up wanting extra work apart from her job and it ended up being a great fit as she helped us with dishes and putting away laundry, babysitting - for an hourly wage, separate from the rent arrangement, and as it fit both of our schedules/needs/interest. So that is a possibility too if we are both interested in that additional arrangement.
