Sea Kiss Point

This is a new, energy-efficient, contemporary home on beautiful tidal oceanfront in West Bath, ME, about 40 minutes from downtown Portland. It was designed specifically for shared use by independent parties. There are three spaces available: two share a very nice cook’s kitchen and large common spaces, with cathedral ceilings, a deck, covered parking (under construction), and a dock with great kayaking nearby (and kayaks). The third has its own patio walkout to the water, and a kitchenette. All the suites share laundry, private access with a vestibule, internet/cable, and all utilities (heat, electricity, water, septic, landscaping/maintenance, etc.) included. Since each suite is comparable to a 1BR apartment in size and amenities, with two people and no utilities (typically about $400/month this time of year) the rent is quite competitive with places not nearly as nice.

I am a 69-year old entrepreneur and the owner. I currently use the place primarily as a home office, but will join (or not) depending on the other roomies. Originally I had hoped to form a multi-age community on the entire Sea Kiss Pt, so my ideal group would be mixed-age with some members paying more and receiving more services, while other (presumably younger) members would be subsidized and do more work. Since the suites can be occupied independently, there are many ways the property could be shared.
