About the room

$900 / Private Room & Separate Bathroom –Condo 2 Miles from University of Chicago Campus!

The Apartment

One-room bedroom is available with a separate bathroom in this shared 1,400 sq. ft condo in the Bronzeville /Hyde Park neighborhood in Chicago, IL. This is a 3 room, 2 bath condo which comes with sizeable closets, central heating and air conditioning, an in-unit laundry washer and dryer, dishwasher, and an in-home security system. The third room is used as a separate office area/storage space as needed (so bonus - only 1 roommate!). There is ample street parking where visitors can also park. Utilities (Gas, Electricity, Internet, and Security System) are about $390/month and would be split 50/50 between roommates. And, because this is a condo the HOA fee is included in the rent!

The Location

The condo is located on King Drive and is in a great location between downtown Chicago and the Hyde Park area. The area is mostly filled with working professionals, students, and families so the neighborhood is quiet but friendly. We are a 5-minute walk to the 43rd Street Green Line Train Station, located one street over from a quaint park, and are only a few minutes away from grocery/convenience stores such as Mariano’s, Whole Foods, Trader Joe’s, Jewels, Walgreens, and various fast-food and fine dining restaurants including, Truth Italian Restaurant, Chicago Home of Chicken & Waffles, Friistyle, the Budlong, Roti, Nando’s, and more. In addition, the condo is located right in front of the #3 King Drive Bus Stop, if you need alternative transportation.

About the roomies

I’m a young hard-working professional female in her mid-20s, so I like relaxing after a long workday with a glass of wine.I primarily work from home, and live a pretty quiet life. I like discovering new books/tv shows/music and movies as well as new things to eat! I’m a friendly person who also values my own and other people’s privacy and space, so I would expect the same courtesy from a roommate.
