Large Bedroom available from 12/18-12/20 in 2 bed/1 bath centrally located apartment off Ocean St

Hi there! My name is Victoria and I have a room available in a 2 bedroom apartment just a 10 minute walk away from downtown Santa Cruz.

I would like to do interviews of any prospective tenants during the evening 12/5-12/9 (other dates/times may be available).

A little bit about the unit:

The room is the larger of the two rooms and is approximately 10 x 12ft plus a spacious built-in closet with shelving and south facing windows. The current tenant has a king size bed and desk and drawers in the room so you can fit a lot. The room would suit a single or a couple (a couple currently lives in the space).

The unit is on the ground floor and off-street parking is available. The unit was recently renovated and has a modern kitchen with gas stove top. There is one bathroom and it has a bath/shower (with amazing water pressure). No in-unit laundry but there is a coin-operated laundry room on site. Lots of storage in the bedrooms as well as in the common space.

Rent is $1400 per month (the rent will be $1800 for a couple) and bills are approximately $50-$100 per month depending on the season. The security deposit is 1.5 times the rent (so would be $2100). You will need to fill out an application and go on the lease, which is month to month. Unfortunately no students or pets are allowed :(

My current housemates will be moving out around December 18th so the room will be available then (potentially earlier depending on their timeline).

The room is unfurnished. My current roommates are also taking most of the furniture in the apartment so if you have any furniture, that is great, otherwise I will be looking to purchase some!

I am 29 years old and originally from Berkeley. I have lived in Australia for the better part of the last 6 years and I moved down to Santa Cruz in September for a job. I am a town planner working in local government. In my spare time, I like to go on walks, cook, watch shows and take art classes or draw. At home, I generally keep to myself but love to have a chat over a meal or watch a show with my housemate. I have been living in share houses/shared living on and off for the last 10 years. I live best with people who leave common spaces usable for others - not super anal about a mess here and there but like to do a clean of the spaces every couple weeks!
