About the room
I have been in this place a year now and I am loving it. It’s a dead end street off another dead end street so it is super quiet. It’s a smaller house 2br 1ba so we would share a bathroom. It is currently furnished but could be unfurnished if needed. The house is a 11 minute bike ride to UMC and 15 min bike ride to UofA. There is a washer and dryer. There is a large back yard that I’m working on and a shed for extra storage.
Utilities included in rent Water Trash and recycling (I also compost) Electric Gas Internet
About the roomies
I’m am a 34 female who loves people and life. I’m a pretty passionate person and believe in environmental and social justice. You don’t have to share my beliefs but you gotta respect them.
Bhindi is my dog she is a 13 yo Jack Russel terrier. We love hiking, camping, playing in the yard, and doing yoga. I am a concert lighting director/tech so I work long days and late nights. I get home around 11pm usually. If I’m living with someone I can be quiet when I get home. When I’m off I’m usually doing some house project, working out, or adventuring. I love people and would love a roomie that wants to work together for a happy home and wouldn’t mind hanging out sometimes.
My future Roomie needs to like dogs because Bhindi will want to snuggle with you on the couch. She has a dog door so you don’t need to be responsible for her but it will be much better if you enjoy a dogs company. She is fairly calm for her breed and loves adult people. She does not like small children or other dogs. I am allergic to cats so unfortunately no additional pets. I travel for work sometimes and with past roomies we worked out a rent credit to take responsibility for her while I was gone. I would really like to find someone who would be interested in this arrangement.
I would love someone who is lives a more calm lifestyle. I like to throw a party sometimes and I like having a friend over for dinner on my nights off but this is definitely not a place for crazy parties every weekend. I have a partner who stays over sometimes and have friends visit from out of town. I don’t mind if you do the same :)
I own the house so I’m just seeing how this goes. I was thinking a three month lease to start, Just to make sure that we get along and then we can extend or move on from there. I would also be ok with something even shorter if that’s what you are looking for. I’m excited to start this new relationship and look forward to meeting you!
