Hoppers Drive

Looking for one renter for a bedroom and bathroom in the Swans Mill housing development. Address is 4702 Hoppers Dr, Durham NC, 27704.

Students are preferred, but all applicants are welcome.

The rent is $800/mo (month-to-month). Utilities included. No deposit necessary (although if you have a penchant for fire or explosives, we reserve the right to change our mind). First month’s rent due before move in! I don’t want someone moving all their stuff up to the room and THEN telling me they can’t pay yet.

The bedroom itself is approximately 120 sq ft with a 10 sq ft closet. The bathroom is adjacent to the bedroom and has a shower/tub combo. Basic furnishing is available and included in the rent. If the renter wants to use their own furnishings, that’s fine, but it must all fit in the room.

The house features high speed internet (1 Gb Spectrum fiber) and off-street parking. Renter will be allowed to use (conditionally) the kitchen, washer, dryer, grill, and any common areas.

You will be sharing the house with the 2 owners. Must be OK with cats. No smoking or drugs. Renter also may not have pets (exceptions can be made for terrarium-based creatures).

Move in available on or after Dec 19, 2022.

I did the ID check and criminal background (basic). I’m not going to do the credit check, cause…. I’m the one with the house lol. I will be running these checks on any potential renter though.

The owners are a boyfriend/girlfriend couple with 3 cats. (That’s a lot of cats, but since the house is 2000+ square feet, and they have a dedicated litter room, hopefully they won’t be in your way.)

The male (Elliot) is in the Duke PhD program and will probably spend most of his time on campus or shut up in his gaming room.

The female (Stephanie) is working in the medical field currently with hopes of qualifying for the Duke PA program. She has not moved to the property yet and is still looking for a new job in the area. So she might not be around for the interviewing process.
