This is a home situation in a quiet location close to downtown Monroe. Private furnished room with storage. Your own refrigerator and bathroom.

An 87-year-young Christian lady is seeking a woman to be her live-in companion in Monroe. She is in good health and does not need care. She fixes her own meals and drives to important places in her life, like church, the library, senior center and the local food bank where she volunteers. She loves to garden and read and take care of her home. Her children live nearby and visit often. However, she desires the security of someone living in the home with her and the companionship in the evenings with conversation and watching a good show on tv or a movie. She enjoys a nightly glass of wine in front of the fireplace with her cat in her lap. She has fallen before so you would be asked to check on her and be generally aware of her when you’re home together. You would also have some light housekeeping duties, like vacuuming and taking the garbage and recycling bins to the street and back. This lady is quite independent and enjoys having the house to herself during some of the daytime hours. So, ideally, her housemate would have a full- or part-time job or activities away from the house but be home most evenings (and always overnight, unless advance notice is given). You must also be in good health yourself, with covid vaccinations and boosters up to date. You must also have your own car and phone. The house is not far from downtown Monroe, located on a quiet culdesac and offers a private, furnished bedroom with its own TV, your own bathroom, shared kitchen and laundry, and a separate refrigerator for your own use. This is a year-round position that could go on into the foreseeable future with additional duties that could be compensated. You will have to pass a background check and give personal references.
