Large, unfurnished, sunny room with large mirrored closet available 9/1 in sunny 3-bedroom, 2-bath townhouse between Kendall and Inman. Laundry on same floor as bedrooms, dishwasher and garbage disposal in kitchen, cozy, fenced back yard. Ample street parking w/ permit. 15-minute walk to Kendall or Lechmere T. MIT, Tufts, Harvard, or any other grad student or responsible undergrad welcome, as are professional folks.

No pets, no smoking of any kind on the property per the lease. LGBTQ+ friendly.

Me: 33, single mom, employed full-time 9-5 M-F but sometimes I work from home. My seven-year-old son lives here during the school year. We get up pretty early and go to bed at a reasonable hour. Sometimes I have a friend or two over during the school year, and during the summer I may have a large gathering or two. We usually cook dinner, and you’d be welcome to join. I like to read, drink coffee, eat healthy, and relax with a beer or two after the kid goes to bed. I work hard to make my space cozy and inviting. The kid likes Legos, Minecraft, YouTube stars, and third grade. Sometimes he may have a friend or two over.

You: Chill, bookish, kind, friendly but respectful of introverts, enjoy children. Reasonably tidy but not a neat freak. Pay your bills on time, every time, without being asked.

$1400 + 1/2 utilities (electric, gas, water, cable/internet). First, last, and security required by the landlord. Could discount a couple hundred per month in rent in exchange for babysitting for the right person.
