East 9th Avenue

4 bed, 1.5 bath house with two levels and an unfinished basement, built in the early 1900’s. central heat that works great, but no AC in site. almost completely “wood” floors, large kitchen and good storage space in the unfinished basement.

the room offered is on the main floor. there’s a fenced side yard, and we have an awesome cherry tree and plum tree. we have a small driveway for parking as well as street parking. 5 mins from downtown by car.

we pay all utilities so good to budget for another $100 on top of rent. no application fee as we’re already on the lease, lookin for someone to stay at least a year if it works out- first, last and deposit due at signing (unfortunately)!

ages 22 to 25, two of us work full time and one is a pt time worker and student. all queer and actively part of queer and mutual aid networks growing in the city!!! we like to live intentionally together, keep the space clean and try to share some groceries when we can. we’re working on turning the yard into a permaculture garden, installing a free pantry on the street, and one roommate does bike repair out of our small detached garage.

it’s a bit of a busy space, we do commonly spend time together and host 1-2 meetings a week pretty often for the mutual aid group we work with. hoping to find someone who is excited to be part of this community and bring their own contribution to what we’ve got going on!
