Two kitchen areas, plus a dining room and separate breakfast nook mean we won’t be in each other’s way at mealtimes – actually anytime!

A reading area in the loft, a solarium with heated floors. a whole-house humidifier, multiple aquariums, and houseplants throughout make for a comfortable, introspective, relaxed space.

All this adds up to one thing: LOTS OF SPACE.

And no more hanging around someplace to do your laundry because there is even a full laundry facility in the basement. A 225-foot drilled artesian well plus a water softener and whole-house water filter means you can skip on bottled water. (And you will save on detergent, your clothing will be softer and your hair and skin will be healthier).

Backup power supplied by a double Tesla power wall and solar panels ensures that we never are without power (an important consideration given how often New Englanders face no power in the winter months!)

And, remember those trips to the petting zoo when you were younger? A farm animal rescue and sanctuary (including sheep, donkeys, alpacas, potbellied pigs, peacocks) is co-located on site. (The rent you pay goes to help the rescue/sanctuary and save abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals).

This home is fully automated (Smart) with WiFi integrated not only throughout the home but on the two open acres surrounding the home. Our Internet is so fast you will think you are in the big city. Rent includes all utilities except oil heat and propane, which are divided equally.

As a housemate, you will be expected to help with general house cleaning (for example bathrooms, floors, common areas) in addition to keeping your own space clean and tidy and doing your dishes / cleaning up after yourself. In the winter, we dig ourselves out when it snows (with two snowthrowers, a tractor, and shovels). You are also part of the screening process for future housemates.

BEDROOM DETAILS: This 200 square-foot room is fully furnished with a queen-sized bed and includes a flat-screen Roku TV. This room is available for $725 / month.

LOCATION DETAILS: approx 6 miles from Interstate 91; 25 minutes away from Dartmouth College (Hanover, NH). Location is roughly equidistant from White River Junction, Saint Johnsbury, and Barre Vermont.

PETS: there are well-mannered dogs currently living here (well-oriented to the farm animal rescues who roam freely) so no other pets are allowed. (Since we continue to get people wanting to move here with their cats, we must state additionally that, indeed, cats are considered pets.)

This room is for an individual. This means ONE PERSON.

The first month’s rent, last month’s rent, and deposit are REQUIRED. Sixty days’ notice is required if you plan to move out.

All roommates are required to complete an application AND authorize a BACKGROUND CHECK (this includes a criminal records check).

ALL APPLICANTS MUST HAVE:

• No criminal record history or pending charges of crimes against person or property;
• No substantiated case of abuse of any kind;
• Four references who can recommend you and speak to your lifestyle and character. One of these must be a positive landlord reference.
