Eden's room

Hi everyone! I’m looking for a roommate ASAP. My name is Eden and I’m looking to move into a 2br/2ba apartment in south central Austin (SoCo, Riverside) with a roommate, (you). I have my eye on a fantastic place in Riverside, ~1200 square feet, own bathroom for each room, balcony and a rooftop with grill, games and awesome view of the city. I work downtown for a tech company so this location is ideal. 10 minute bus, 21 minute walk or 7 minute bike ride to downtown Austin, and it’s a short walk south to the vibrant SoCo district. There is also a pool in the complex but currently it’s being serviced. You would be paying $1250 for the smaller of the two rooms, plus utilities. Ideally I’d like to move in ASAP - within the next week or so if possible.

A little about me: I recently moved to Austin from New York. I was born in Australia and moved to England. I’m a professional musician - singer, songwriter, frontman and music producer. I run my own record label in addition to working full-time in tech. I work in the office downtown Monday to Fridays, and work on my music business at nights and weekends. I write code for my business and enjoy a quiet home to do that in. I would set up a workspace and desk ideally in my bedroom. I would rehearse my band elsewhere in a rehearsal studio away from our home, so you won’t be hearing loud live music in the apartment. Occasionally you may hear me warming up my vocals before a show, but that only last about 15 minutes and I am mindful of the best time to do that with the least disruption. I actually like a quiet home, where I can rest and recharge, or work quietly into the night. I’m not much of a cook. I either eat out or order fresh delivery. I love to watch Netflix and films, often at night before I go to bed. In my last place I lived, I would watch in my bedroom so as not to disturb my other housemates if they were sleeping.
